SPOKANE -- Gonzaga has had a lot to get accustomed to the last few weeks; an early start to practice, a new crop of freshmen and impact transfers, a a re-tooled style of play. Now the Bulldogs are anxious to see how it all looks at game speed.
Mark Few and company have a chance to put it on display in Friday night's exhibition against Simon Fraser.
The Zags are more than three weeks into practice, with their November 9th season opening visit from Bryant more than two weeks away. Few says the best thing now is for them to play someone else. Kevin Pangos added that with new sets on offense and defense, as well as their uptempo style, they need to see how it all works against a team not wearing GU uniforms.
"It's always exciting not going against our own team," Pangos said. "We do that for two to three weeks, so being able to play against someone else, go harder even."
