End of 2012 providing motivation for Eags this spring

Unlike in 2012 Vernon Adams is clearly the man under center, but with a new crop of receivers to work with following the departures of All-Americans Nicholas Edwards, Greg Herd and Brandon Kaufman.

Despite some missing pieces said they are "overly deep" which helps fuel competition on a team that is glad to start working towards putting last year's finish in the past.

EWU will hold its first scrimmage April 13th, followed two weeks later by the annual Red-White Scrimmage April 27th.

 

CHENEY - The last time we saw the Eastern Washington football team they were walking off Roos Field after nearly pulling off an epic comeback in the FCS Semifinals. It's a narrow shortcoming that's providing major motivation these days. 

Beau Baldwin's team is back at work, opening spring practice on the red turf Thursday afternoon. Baldwin says he wants his group to focus on being better than they were this time last year.
