PULLMAN - Washington State University Director of Athletics Bill Moos has announced updates to the Cougars future football schedules.

The Cougars have added a series with Rutgers beginning in 2014, with the first game to be played in Seattle at CenturyLink Field Friday, Aug. 29, with the return contest Sept. 12, 2015 at Rutgers.

Through mutual agreement the Washington State-Wisconsin series scheduled for 2014 and 2015 has been pushed back to 2022 and 2023, with the 2022 game to be played in Madison and the following year in Martin Stadium.

“Adding two BCS opponents to those already on future nonconference schedules benefits our program and is sure to be appealing to our fans,” said Moos. “Our 2014 schedule also allows us to bring five quality Pac-12 games (Arizona, USC, Cal, Oregon and Washington) to Pullman to showcase our newly completed facilities.”

The 2014 season will mark the first meeting between Washington State and Rutgers while Wisconsin is 2-0 all-time against the Cougars, the last meeting coming in 2007 in Madison.
