PULLMAN, Wash. - Pullman Police arrested first year WSU basketball player Brett Kingma early Saturday for alcohol and drug related offenses.
According to the police department's daily log Kingma was arrested for marijuana possession and minor exhibiting the effects of having consumed alcohol in a public place.
The arrest took place at 900 NE Monroe St. in Pullman.
Kingma is in his first season playing with the Cougs, after transferring from Oregon following his freshman season. In 19 games with the Ducks he averaged 3.1 points. He was required to sit out the 2012-2013 season per the NCAA's transfer rule.
The program hasn't issued any statement in regards to Saturday's arrest.
