TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Sophomore Aubrey Ward-El hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Skyview of Vancouver a 46-43 win over Central Valley and its first Class 4A girls state basketball championship on Saturday night.

Fifth-ranked Skyview (25-3) called timeout with 15 seconds left and struggled to find an open shot until Ward-El scored her only points of the game. She missed her previous 10 shots, including four 3s.

Skyview outscored Central Valley 8-0 over the final 1:44 after the Bears had taken a 43-38 lead on a three-point play by Madison Hovren.

Jocelyn Adams had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead Skyview. Adams scored eight during a 10-3 second-quarter run. Brooke Bowen added 10 points.

Brooke Gallaway scored 12 to lead Central Valley (25-3), which was aiming for its fourth state title and first since 2002. Hovren contributed nine points and seven rebounds.
