SPOKANE, Wash.--Eight teams are headed to Spokane for the second round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Fans from Michigan State were expected to be the loudest and have the largest turnout. Those fans have a reputation of going wherever their team goes across the country. That is why alumni and tournament organizers in Spokane expect to have a strong showing.
The Michigan State Spartans will face Delaware on Thursday in Spokane. Local fans of the team said they cannot wait.

"We travel really well, especially for our basketball team because we've been so successful, with national titles, can I say that again?,” said Michigan State Alum Robin Jons.
Organizers that helped bring the tournament back to Spokane remember when the Spartans were in the Inland Northwest in 2010.

The local alumni chapter for the Inland Northwest has about 300 members. They meet together on a regular basis to watch football and basketball games.
"We were here four years ago so we thought we'd hit the lotto, so hitting it twice in four years, we were praying really hard,” said Jons.
Jons said the fans want to live up to their reputation of showing up wherever their team goes. Local fans said to expect a lot of green and white on Thursday.
"I think we are the largest group outside of Gonzaga, and Washington State and perhaps the Huskies in this area,” said Jons.
The game on Thursday will be at 1:40 p.m. at the Spokane Arena.
