Central Valley senior Brooke Gallaway hit a late free throw to give the Metro All-Stars an 80-79 win in Monday night's 19th Annual Jack Blair Memorial Girls All-Star Basketball Classic.
The game's Most Valuable Player was Gonzaga Prep's Lindsay Stockton, who led the Metro team with 16 points. Stockton is taking her skills to Montana State.
Gallaway, who will play for Santa Clara beginning next season, connected at the foul line with five seconds left in regulation. Clarkston senior Jamie Weisner of the Region All-Stars was unable to put her team back up in the final Region possession. Weisner scored a game-high 18 points, and will play for Oregon State.
The Metro All-Stars have now won three straight years.
