BRISTOL, Conn. -- Gonzaga forward Kayla Standish was selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the second round of the WNBA Draft, while former Lewis & Clark High School star Katelan Redmon was picked by the New York Liberty on Monday.

Standish, who was invited to the draft at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, was the 19th overall selection. She led the Bulldogs with 16.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a senior. She especially shined in the postseason, averaging 23 points and 6 rebounds per game while leading Gonzaga to its third straight Sweet 16.

Redmon, the final pick in the draft (36th overall), averaged 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last year as a senior. She became the 18th player in school history to eclipse 1,000-points plateau, ending her career with 1,412 - which is ninth highest in school history.

This is the first time in school history the Zags have had two players drafted in the same year. Gonzaga has now had four players drafted into the WNBA.
