The students get a tweet with a location and suddenly start sprinting across campus to that spot. There was a lot of adrenaline as students waited for the tweet.
"Just a lot of adrenaline right now. I'm ready to go,” said one student.
Students wait for the location and once they are there they can reserve their spot in Tent City.
“Someone said it might be by the bridge. But that's just a rumor,” said another student.
Students refreshed their twitter feeds with legs stretched and phones out. Then at 12:15 p.m. the tweet was sent and one hashtag unleashed a frenzy known only to Gonzaga basketball fans.
A frenzy broke out at the spot where the group of Kennel Club board members was waiting for the eager students. What followed was a furious exchange of registration forms and tent designations.
"It's definitely anxious, and it's anxious on this side too. Making sure everyone knows the location. But it's exciting,” said Kennel Club board member Ben Cary.
The students’ hard work paid off.
"Number 2!... It's amazing. It's the best number we've gotten so far,” said Gonzaga sophomore Ryan Lowry.
Essentially the whole morning craziness was to get a spot in line for a Gonzaga basketball game.
Students set up their tents on Tuesday where they will wait until Thursday night when the Zags take on the Washington State University Cougars.
