SPOKANE -- As expected, the Gonzaga men's basketball team slipped in both major national polls on Monday.

The Bulldogs are ranked No. 17 by the Associated Press and are No. 13 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Zags were 13th in the AP and 8th in the coaches poll last week.

It wasn't Gonzaga's best week. The Bulldogs were forced to come from behind in a 71-64 win against Santa Clara on Thursday, and then the Zags lost 81-77 to San Francisco on Saturday. It was GU's first conference loss since February 4, 2008.

Gonzaga will look to bounce back this week, but it won't be easy. The Zags host Portland on Thursday (8pm on ESPN2) and then travel south to play Memphis on Saturday (1pm on ESPN2).

We will be at Bulldogs practice this afternoon, so stay tuned to KREM 2 News and KREM.com for practice reports and much more.
