SPOKANE -- The Gonzaga men's basketball team jumped in both major national polls on Monday.

The Zags, who are 8-2 on the year, moved up to No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 (they were 21st last week) and also bounced to No. 15 (tied with Georgia Tech) in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll (they were 22nd last week).

Gonzaga didn't have a very strenuous week, but it was enough for the Bulldogs to climb in the rankings. The Bulldogs beat DIII Augustana College 79-40 last Wednesday and then beat Davidson (2-7) 103-91 in the Battle in Seattle.

The schedule slows down this week for finals. GU doesn't play until Saturday, but it's a huge matchup. The Zags travel to New York City to face Duke (No. 7 in the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls) in Madison Square Garden. That game can only be seen on KREM 2 at 1pm.

Washington State (8-2) is among "Others Receiving Votes" in the ESPN/USA Today Poll, while Washington (6-2) slipped to No. 24 in the AP and No. 21 in the ESPN/USA Today Poll after a loss to Georgetown this weekend.
