SPOKANE-- The 2014 Spokane Indians started filing into Avista Stadium Monday. Among the players who arrived was 18-year old Juremi Profar from Caracao.
Profar is the younger brother of Jurickson Profar, who played in Spokane in 2010.
In 2012 Jurickson made it to the major leagues with the Rangers as the top prospect in baseball. Now his younger brother hopes to follow a similar path.
The younger Profar's primary position is third base. He has already played Single-A and Triple-A baseball in Texas' system this spring.
Spokane has its first workout under 8th year manager Tim Hulett. They open the 2014 season Friday at 6:30 p.m. against Eugene.
