Last week the Indians' 2012 campaign came to a close, with Spokane finishing short of a playoff spot for the second straight year. While the postseason appeared a long shot, one Indian provided some excitement down the stretch.

Former Gonzaga star Royce Bolinger was the talk of the team from the day Texas assigned him to Spokane, until the final weeks, with his Northwest League Season best 23-game hitting streak. That run was accompanied by a 13-game streak that ended a day before the other streak began.

Bolinger finished the year with a .301 average and 26 RBI, not bad for a guy that hit just .103 in June.

Now the former Zag is off to his home state of Arizona for offseason training with other players from the Rangers' organization.
