Runey Davis lined an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, lifting the Boise Hawks to their sixth walk-off victory this season, stopping the Spokane Indians, 4-3, before 3,274 fans at Memorial Stadium.

Jae-Hoon Ha led off the inning with a single and moved to second on a groundout by Matt Williams. Davis, who had a game-winner against Everett on Aug. 13, lined the Johnny Gunter fastball to right-center, just out of the reach of Miguel Velazquez, to set off the celebration.

Spokane took a 2-1 lead in the eighth on back-to-back RBI doubles by Denny Duron and Clark Murphy, but Boise would come right back, getting an RBI single from Logan Watkins and taking advantage of a dropped fly ball by Velazquez in right to score the go-ahead run. However, Velazquez atoned for his error in the ninth with a two-out RBI single to score Kyle Rhoad to tie the game at 3-3.

Both starters were solid, as Chris Rusin allowed four hits in five innings for the Hawks, with Robbie Ross allowing just three hits for the Indians. Rhoad and Velazquez had three hits each for Spokane, while Watkins went 2-for-4 for the Hawks.

The rubber game of the series is Thursday afternoon at 3pm with Robert Hernandez meeting Matt Thompson.
