Mariners acquire Kotchman from Red Sox for Hall

SEATTLE (AP) — The Mariners have finalized the trade with the Boston Red Sox that brings first baseman Casey Kotchman to Seattle for outfielder Bill Hall and a player to be named.
Mariners spokesman Jeff Evans said Thursday that Kotchman passed his physical to complete the deal, which had been agreed to Tuesday.
The player Seattle is to send Boston is expected to be a minor leaguer.
