The Seattle Mariners have reached an agreement on a 10-year contract with free agent Robinson Cano, ESPN reported Friday.
Reporter Enrique Rojas cited a source close to the deal, who said it was worth $240 million. The deal is pending a physical, which is expected to happen this weekend.
The contract would be the third-largest in Major League Baseball history.
Cano, 31, hit .314 last season with the New York Yankees. He had 27 home runs and 107 RBI.
