The college basketball season arrives in less than a month. Among the teams that will tip-off November 9th are the Gonzaga women, who are already in their second week of preseason practice.

Kelly Graves' squad has gotten accustomed to playing well into the month of March. Gonzaga is coming off its 4th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, and 3rd straight trip to the Sweet 16.

The Bulldogs return nine players - with five upperclassmen and 11 total freshmen and sophomores.

Graves' squad is highlighted by last year's West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Year Haiden Palmer. The backcourt is expected to be their strength - at least early on - with the presence of Taelor Karr and Jazmine Redmon.

Graves will have to account for the departures of Lewis & Clark grad Katelan Redmon, as well as Kayla Standish. This year's team is younger, less experienced, but Graves says there's no shortage of talent.

They host their annual Fan Fest Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Gonzaga opens the year Nov. 9th at UC Riverside.
