WSU's Aden, GU's Redmon honored by conference

Washington State's Faisal Aden and Gonzaga's Katelan Redmon were honored by their respective conferences on Monday.

Aden is the Pac-12 men's basketball Player of the Week, while Redmon, a former Lewis & Clark High School standout, is the WCC women's basketball Player of the week.

Aden guided the Cougars to two surprising wins last week against Stanford and California. Aden averaged 28.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in those victories.

Redmon also helped lift Gonzaga to two wins last week. She averaged 22 points and 6 rebounds per game in victories against Santa Clara and San Diego.

Eastern Washington's Carrie Ojeda was also named the Big Sky women's basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
