PULLMAN, Wash.  --  Washington State University confirmed that sports broadcaster Keith Jackson will be visiting Pullman for a dedication ceremony to name a building in his honor.

Jackson graduated from WSU in 1954.

According to school officials, Jackson worked in broadcasting for more than 40 years, including as a play-by-play announcer on Monday Night Football.

The Facilities Naming Committee at WSU’s Pullman Campus approved a move to re-name the Murrow College building after Jackson.

“I hope they aren’t going to send me the bill for upkeep,” Jackson joked.

WSU said Jackson's building houses the college’s television broadcast facilities.

The dedication ceremony for the new Keith M. Jackson Hall is set for September 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
