SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock and Tampa Bay Storm are both storied franchises, but they've found success of different levels.

Winning is nothing new for Spokane. The Shock played in three ArenaCup games in four seasons while they were in the af2. The Shock won two of those championship games.

Spokane moved up the Arena Football League this season and still found plenty of success. They went 13-3 in the regular season, won two more games in the postseason, and will play in their first ArenaBowl on Friday.

Winning is nothing new to Tampa Bay either. The Storm are making their seventh ArenaBowl appearance. They've already won five titles in the past. The only championship game they lost happened in 1998.

That means it's the new kids on the block (Spokane) against the old timers (Tampa Bay) on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5pm at Veterans Memorial Arena. The game will be televised on the NFL Network.

The Storm flew into town late Wednesday. They'll hold their first practice in the arena on Thursday. They'll also be available to the media. Stay tuned to KREM 2 News and KREM.com for the latest on Tampa Bay.

As of Wednesday evening, there were less than 200 tickets remaining for the game. The Shock plan on opening up 140 more "standing room only" tickets as well.
