SPOKANE -- With Janluis Castro on first base, Indians left fielder Barrett Serrato hammered a two-run, walk-off home run to right field in the bottom of the 11th inning to lead the Spokane Indians to a 6-4 win over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.
Janluis Castro led the Indians offense off with a three-run home run in the first inning, scoring both Kevin Torres and Marcus Greene. The Indians also scored in the second, as Gabe Roa's ground out led to Serrato scoring. Serrato was 3 for 5 while Janluis Castro and Torres were 2 for 5 each.
Right hander Kyle Castro started on the mound for Spokane, and allowed four runs in five innings. Relievers Ryne Slack, Keone Kela and Justin Sprenger held the Volcanoes scoreless, allowing only three hits, through six innings to end the game. Sprenger earned his second win of the season. Slack and Kela lowered their ERAs to 1.63 and 1.23, respectively.
