Mead High School's football standout Danny Mattingly signed today with the Oregon Ducks.
Mattingly was considered a top five recruit in the state of Washington. During his senior season, he had 97 tackles including 12 for a loss. Also, the future Duck totaled six sacks, took an interception back for a touchdown and caused five fumbles.
We asked him today where he’ll fit in Oregon’s system.
"I'm more of an inside linebacker type, Oregon is graduating two seniors this year and it's a great chance for me to make my mark early."
He had previously committed to Notre Dame, but by December changed his mind and gave his word to Oregon.
