SPOKANE - Gonzaga University, which dropped its first game in 10 starts this season, fell from 10th to 14th in this week's Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN men's basketball Top 25 polls.

The Bulldogs, who fell 85-74 at home to the University of Illinois last week, was replaced in the 10th spot by the Fighting Illini, who improved to 10-0 with the victory in the battle of unbeatens at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Gonzaga began the week with a 71-69 mid-week win at nearby rival Washington State University to go to 9-0 and the best start in school history.

Indiana University sits atop both polls for the sixth straight week.

The Zags return to the court this Saturday for the 10th annual Battle in Seattle against Kansas State University. Game time is 6 p.m. at KeyArena.
