SAN FRANCISCO -- Former University of Idaho offensive lineman Mike Iupati signed his first professional contract on Friday and it's going to fill his pockets for years to come.

Iupati, the 17th overall pick in April's NFL Draft, inked a five-year deal worth $18.25 million with the San Francisco 49ers. He's guaranteed $10.8 million of that money.

The 6'5" 331 pound guard played at Idaho from 2006-2009. He started all 12 games for the Vandals last season. He didn't allow one quarterback sack and was credited for a much improved running game.

Iupati was a consensus All-American and was one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy (won by Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh) last year.
