Spokane, WA -- Despite scoring five runs in the seventh inning, the Spokane Indians fell victim to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 6-5 in front of 7,048 fans.

In the seventh inning, while trailing 2-0, Spokane loaded the bases with no outs. Center fielder Eduard Pinto singled home two runs to score Brandon Garcia and Evan Van Hoosier. Then it was Cam Schiller's bases-clearing double that extended Spokane's lead to 5-2. Schiller leads the team with 11 doubles on the season.

However, the Volcanoes would strike back in the ensuing frame. Right handed Keone Kela allowed four runs on two hits to let Salem-Keizer jump ahead to a 6-5 lead -- the game's final margin.

Right hander David Ledbetter got the start for the Indians, and allowed two runs in five innings while striking out five Volcanoes batters. Ryne Slack relieved Ledbetter in the sixth inning and pitched one scoreless frame.

Mike Zouzalik, who leads the team with four saves, made a rare back-to-back appearance on the mound. The Austin, Texas., native tossed one inning, allowing one hit and no runs.
