The college football season gets started on Thursday. That includes two local teams opening the 2010 season.

Idaho plays at home against North Dakota, while Eastern Washington plays on the road against Nevada.

For the Vandals, it's their first season opener in the Kibbie Dome since 1998. Kickoff against the Fighting Sioux, a Football Championship Subdivision team, is scheduled for 6pm.

The Eagles and Wolf Pack haven't squared off in 19 years. The last time they played, both were members of the Big Sky Conference. That's not the case anymore. EWU is a heavy underdog as they're playing up against a Football Bowl Subdivision team.

We'll have highlights from both games on KREM 2 News and KREM.com.
