SPOKANE -- As expected, the Gonzaga men's basketball team pounded Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne at McCarthey Athletic Center on Friday night.
Nine players scored for the Zags in a 90-55 blowout. The Bulldogs are now 2-1 on the season. They return to action on Monday in the EA Sports Maui Invitational against Colorado.
It's the second straight night that the Mastodons were hammered by an area team. Washington State beat IPFW 89-70 on Thursday night in Pullman.
Matt Bouldin and Robert Sacre paced the Bulldogs with 15 points. Demetri Goodson added a career-high 14 points for Gonzaga, while Steven Gray registered 11.
Antwone Snead and Deilvez Yearby led the Mastodons with 11 points each.
The Bulldogs outrebounded IPFW, 49-35. Robert Sacre led the Bulldogs with eight boards. Mangisto Arop didn't score, but he was right behind Sacre with six rebounds.
