SPOKANE – Gonzaga University senior guard Matt Bouldin is expected to be in the starting lineup Saturday when the Bulldogs meet Davidson at KeyArena in the Battle in Seattle.
Bouldin left Wednesday’s 79-40 win over Augustana College with 6:56 to go in the first half after a head-knocking collision under the basket. He did not return to action.
“We expect Matt to be in the lineup,” Gonzaga head coach Mark Few said. “We will take it easy with him in practice today, but all indications are he is fine.
“Matt is feeling much better today than he was last night,” Gonzaga men’s basketball trainer Jennifer Nyland said. “We will continue to evaluate him daily, but every indication is he will be able to play Saturday.”
The native of Highlands Ranch, Colo., is the Bulldogs leading scoring at 16.8 ppg and top assists man at 3.8/game.
