SPOKANE -- We asked you to choose the HS GameTime Game of the Week, and you responded by voting in full force.
More than 58% of you selected Friday's Greater Spokane League battle between Ferris and University as this week's best.
The Saxons played for the 4A state championship last year, but lost to Skyline 45-21 in the title tilt. It wasn't the first time Ferris ran into the Spartans in the playoffs. The Saxons also lost to Skyline in the semifinals in 2008.
Expectations are always high for the Saxons, so don't be surprised if they make another run in 2010.
University doesn't have great success in the postseason. The Titans haven't played in the state tournament since 1987 (they lost in the qualifying round as recently as 2004). That doesn't mean you can count them out this season, especially because they dropped down to 3A.
Kickoff at University High School is scheduled for 7pm on Friday. If you can't make it to the game, it will be our top game on HS GameTime on KREM 2 News at 11pm.
