SPOKANE -- The Everett Silvertips scored two goals in both the second and third period after starting the game with a single goal in the first period for a 5-2 win over the Chiefs on Tuesday night.

Everett's win breaks a tie for third place in the U.S. Division between the two in their first of ten meetings on the season. The Silvertips victory also snapped Spokane's four game winning streak.

The Silvertips scored the game's first goal on a two-man advantage when Shane Harper stepped to the top of the left circle and scored on a snap shot at 12:50. Byron Froese and Harper scored in the second at 14:37 and 18:06. Harper's second came on a break away to make it 3-0 going into the third period.

Spokane pulled within two on Mitch Wahl's sixth goal of the year 2:04 into the third. His snap shot was assisted by Kyle Beach and Stefan Ulmer. Wahl now has a goal in four straight games for the Chiefs.

Tyler Maxwell helped Everett pull away with two goals in the final frame with goals at 4:47 and 15:28, the last one coming on the power play.

Beach recorded his 15th goal in 16 games at 19:01 to finish the scoring.

Spokane was outshot for just the third time this year, 36-27. Michael Tadjdeh started in goal for Spokane, picking up 31 saves thanks to some lackluster defense by the Chiefs.

Spokane is back on the ice this weekend with games on Saturday versus Kamloops and Sunday against Kelowna.
