CHENEY, Wash. - Thomas Reuter sealed Eastern Washington's 57-54 win over Idaho State Saturday afternoon in Cheney with a block and two free throws in the final seconds.
Reuter only had three points in the game, all on free throws, but his block on a fast break with Eastern up one followed by his free throws were enough to let the Eagles (3-9, 1-1) escape with a Big Sky conference win over the Bengals (1-9, 0-2).
Venky Jois scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Eagles.
Eastern plays at Montana on Jan. 3.
