BOISE -- The Coeur d'Alene football team won it's second straight 5A state championship on Friday night by taking down Eagle 49-28 on the blue turf at Boise State University.
The Vikings become the first 5A school in Idaho to win back-to-back titles since 1997-98.
Chad Chalich completed 16 of 29 passes for 449 yards. He threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more.
Deon Watson was Chalich's favorite target, making five catches for 129 yards and two scores. Bubba Duran also added 110 yards receiving.
Coeur d'Alene finishes the season 12-0. Dating back to last year, the Vikings have now won 21 straight games.
