PULLMAN, Wash.—The Washington State University Cougars opened their 2014 season in Seattle on Thursday night.
Things are quite different for WSU than they were when Mike Leach was hired to lead the football program. There is a greater buzz around the program, largely due to the on field product. Yet, the changes extend beyond the football field and onto campus with a brand new facility.

Because of the nature of his offense Mike Leach is mentioned alongside his quarterbacks more than most coaches. In 2014, that quarterback is Ferris High School graduate Connor Halliday, who had his ups and downs en route to a record 2013 campaign. His experience is one reason for optimism amongst fans, and Leach himself heading into 2014.
In the attached video, KREM 2 Sports Director Darnay Tripp sits down one-on-one with Leach to learn what has changed since the coach put his stamp on this program.
