KENNEWICK - It was all the same, except the result.

Two nights after giving up a 4-1 lead and losing in overtime, the Chiefs let a 3-1 advantage slip Thursday in Game 4 of their WHL first round series against Tri-City. This time Blake Gal delivered the gamewinner for Spokane.

The 4-3 win gives Don  Nachbaur's team a 3-1 series lead. They can close out the series Saturday night in Kennewick.

Adam Helewka scored Spokane's first goal, a wrister from the right side to even it up at 1-1. Todd Fiddler followed in the first with a rebound off a Dylan Walchuk attempt. Brenden Kichton gave the Chiefs their largest lead in the third period.

The Americans scored three times in less than 11 minutes to force OT, where Spokane put the game away for good.
