SPOKANE, Wash.--Bloomsday’s race director announced a new change to the 2014 race. Pictures will be free and provided online at no charge to participants.
Runners will be able to post their free photos to Facebook and other social media sites or have them turned into prints at a location of the participant’s choice.
Bloomsday participants are given a B-tag that is embedded on their number. The technology is used to match runners to their finish results and to photos that are taken near timing mats along the race and at the finish line.
The 12-kilometer, 7.46 mile, road race takes place on Sunday, May 4. About 50,000 people are expected to sign up for Bloomsday by race day. Online registration for the event is open.
