Richard Sherman may be the best trash-talker in the NFL. Or, as he refers to himself, "the best cornerback in the league." Of course, Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals begs to differ. This created an excellent Twitter feud this week.
On Tuesday night, Peterson announced he had signed a new contract extension with the Cardinals, making him the highest paid cornerback in the league.
Before this, Sherman held that title with the four-year deal he signed with the Seahawks back in May, for $57.4 million (and $40 million guaranteed).
But Peterson beat that with his 5-year deal for $70 million (and $48 million guaranteed). So when the news broke, people on Twitter started commenting, some pointing out statistics that made Sherman look better.

Sherman noticed, and re-tweeted.
And on Wednesday morning, Peterson took notice...

But the feud didn't stop there. The Seahawks cornerback went on a roll, showing off proof of his high status... his Super Bowl ring.
Can't ever be too mad lmao... pic.twitter.com/ZHA28B9Tji— Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) July 30, 2014
He even tweeted out some Drake lyrics.

We'll have to wait and see what Peterson tweets back next.
