SPOKANE -- John Straka says it has been a whirlwind since he got drafted by the Rangers on Saturday. One day after the 2013 MLB Draft wrapped up, rosters began coming together. On Monday the 2013 Indians started filtering into Spokane.

Straka was the first player to arrive at Avista Stadium Monday afternoon, where he got a look at his new home, and met manager Tim Hulett.

The pitcher out of North Dakota St. was joined by a few van-fulls of teammates, who checked out uniforms and began getting settled in for the summer.

There is not much time to get eased in with their first workout Tuesday and Opening Night three days later. The Indians host the Everett AquaSox for their season opener Friday at 6:30 p.m.
