SPOKANE, Wash.—Generous donations from the community raised nearly $3,000 on Wednesday for Team Gleason’s battle against ALS.

KREM 2 News hit the bike on Wednesday and pedaled for 14 hours straight to raise money as News Director Noah Cooper prepares to compete in his first Ironman Competition in Coeur d’Alene June 29th. He is doing it to raise money for the Steve Gleason Initiative Foundation. The organization helps people with ALS and is working to find a cure.

The $3,000 from the Project Inspire Bike-A-Thon brings Cooper’s fundraising efforts to more than $10,000.
