Kristi Gorenson is a fill-in anchor and reporter for KREM 2 NEWS.. She joined the KREM 2 NEWS team in December of 1997.
Originally from Puyallup, Washington, Kristi received a bachelors degree in broadcast communications from Washington State University in 1992. She started her broadcast career in 1992 at KLEW-TV in Lewiston, Idaho, as an anchor/reporter.
In 1994 Kristi moved on to KLEW's sister station KEPR-TV in Pasco, Washington, where she worked as an anchor-reporter through 1997.
During her time at KREM, Kristi has covered a variety of different stories, including the Spokane serial killer investigation and consumer affairs stories. She won a regional award from the Associated Press for a feature story on the "Kool Aid Kid" , the story of a young boy who was monopolizing on the fans at Seahawks Training camp at Eastern Washington University by selling Kool Aid.
Kristi enjoys spending time with her family as well as a variety of outdoor activities including snow skiing, hiking and snowshoeing.
