Dana Haynes is an Emmy-nominated journalist with 20 years experience in media. Her career began in Boise and for the last 15 years she’s anchored and reported in Spokane. She’s always said working in TV news is like having a back-stage pass to life. Dana was a lead reporter during the investigation into Spokane’s serial killer in the late-90’s. Some of her other most notable stories during her career have been covering two Rose Bowls, the Gonzaga University Men’s Basketball Team in several NCAA Tournaments, an appearance on The Rosie O’Donnell Show and she spent seven years covering American Idol finale shows in Los Angeles for several FOX affiliates across the country. In 2011, Dana also appeared on The History Channel as a candle historian on the show The Epic History of Everyday Things. She owns her own candle company called Dandles.
News is in Dana’s blood. But when she’s not in the newsroom you can find her knee-deep in candle wax, hanging with her husband and their brood of dogs or emceeing any number of charitable events in the Inland Northwest.
