Breanna joined the KREM 2 News team as a reporter in September 2012. Prior to moving to Spokane she spent more than three years reporting in her hometown of Missoula at KPAX.
She broke into the television business behind the scenes during a part-time job in college. She rolled tapes, operated studio cameras and ran the audio board at KPAX before crossing over to the other side of the camera after an internship at KELO in Sioux Falls in 2008.
As a senior in college, Breanna was the producer of an hour-long documentary on suicide in Montana that won an Emmy through the Northwest Regional College Student Awards of Excellence. She graduated from The University of Montana with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Media Arts in 2009.
She has fond memories of visiting Spokane on family vacations growing up. Her dad remembers singing in a choir at the World’s Fair in Spokane as a senior in high school in 1974 and her parents ran Bloomsday when Breanna was “just a thought.” Her older sister lives in Bellingham.
