BEIJING (AP) — A Chinese state news agency says a businesswoman implicated in the corruption case against a former railways minister has been charged with bribery and illegal business activities.

The Xinhua News Agency said Sunday that Ding Shumiao is accused of intervening in bidding for railway projects.

The report said Ding was linked to the case of former Minister of Railways Liu Zhijun. Liu was given a suspended death sentence in July on charges that he took bribes and steered lucrative contracts to associates.
