LONDON (AP) — The troubles continue for pop star Justin Bieber.
He'd been in a London hospital for a few hours after fainting backstage during a concert last night. And now, he's had an altercation with paparazzi who were hurling insults at him, responding with a stream of expletives of his own as he was restrained by members of his staff.
Bieber had earlier said he was "getting better" after struggling to breathe during last night's concert -- and he pledged that tonight's show would go on as planned.
Tweeting about the confrontation with the photographers, Bieber said he'd let them "get the best of me." He said it had been a "rough week," and that he's only human.
Video footage from last night's concert showed Bieber appearing to fade during a performance of his up-tempo hit "Beauty and a Beat." He slows down, puts a hand to his head and bends over, before walking slowly to the back of the stage. A concertgoer says Bieber later returned to perform low-energy renditions of his hits "Boyfriend" and "Baby."
At the start of the week, Bieber had to apologize to outraged fans who accused him of taking the stage almost two hours late for the first of his London concerts.
