The Sendai station is crowded with passengers as the trains were stopped by a large earthquake, in Sendai city in Miyagi prefecture, northern Japan on December 7, 2012 following a 7.3 earthquake and tsunami alert. A one metre-high tsunami hit northeast Japan after a powerful undersea quake struck off the coast which was devastated in last year's quake-tsunami disaster.
