BENEWAH COUNTY-- The threat level of wildfires in Benewah County has risen from very high to extreme.
Extreme fire danger means fires start quickly and burn intensely. It's considered the worst out of five stages.
Currently there is no open burning through out the county.
Officials say that any spark mixed with the dry conditions could create a dangerous fire.
Wet weather in the forecast could wet down the fuels like grass, tree leaves, and plants.
Even though a cool down is expected in the next couple days, firefighters say there is still a big risk for wildfires.
