GRAND COULEE -- Douglas County Emergency Management confirms one home near Grand Coulee has been destroyed by wildfire.

A KREM 2 News viewer reports the home that burnt to the ground was a 100 year old ranch homestead house. The viewer reports all of the outbuildings and corrals also burned.

The American Red Cross is offering emergency assistance and relief support to the family.  The organization has also opened a shelter at the Senior Center in Grand Coulee for the fires that continue to burn in north Douglas County
