CASTLEFORD, Idaho -- Multiple resources are on scene to battle an estimated 30,000 acre wildfire south of Castleford.

The fire started shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday. Kylie Gough, a spokeperson with the Bureau of Land Management, said that six homes in Roseworth are being threatened by the massive wildfire, but that resources were on hand to defend the threatened properties.

The fire, now called the Kinyon Road Fire, is being tackled by 17 engines, four water tenders, two dozers, multiple crews and several air resources, including tankers and air attacks. Castleford Rural Fire is also assisting in trying to get the fire contained.

Crews have set up a base camp to deal with what Gough called a "very active" fire.

The BLM believes the fire is lightning-caused.

There is no estimate on when the fire will be contained.
