STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. -- Lightning is likely the cause of a Friday morning wildfire near Fruitland, Washington.  Firefighters think the lightning struck a wooden fence post and caught fire.

It started around 2:00 a.m. near Enterprise Road & Camp Naborlee.

Firefighters say it was helpful that homeowners jumped in to help stop the fire right away.

The fire burned about two acres.  It was never threatening any structures.  Is is now completely out.
