BOISE -- A spectacular lightning storm lit up the Treasure Valley skies last night.
Ada County dispatch says the lightning sparked three small wildfires at Table Rock, Harris Ranch and in Kuna. Rain quickly put them out.
The storm also caused some damage to at least one home off Amity Road in Boise. A tree fell onto a pergola and came within inches of hitting the home. It happened around 9 p.m.
"I heard a big crack and then it hit my house, and I thought the whole tree had come down but it was just half, and then my neighbors came by to see if I was OK," said Nancy Stover.
Stover says they planted the tree about 10 years ago and that it was taller than their home.
