SEATTLE – A wildfire is burning in the Duckabush area of the Olympic National Forest.
The Big Hump Fire was only three acres Saturday afternoon, said U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Donna Nemeth, but was burning in an area of heavy forest. The fire started Thursday, but grew Saturday morning.
The Duckabush hiking trial was being closed as a precaution. At least 20 firefighters are battling the flames.
No homes are in danger, Nemeth said.
